Three HM militants arrested, ammunition recovered: Police Srinagar: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested three HM militants, who were involved in firing on SPO Romaan at Chana Pora and several grenades throwing incidents and other “terror crimes” in Srinagar and Jammu cities. The police spokesman identified them as Asif Iqbal Dar, Shahid Hassan Dar, both residents of Soura and Rasheed Lateef Mir, a resident of Barzulla. They were affiliated with HM and were wanted by law for their complicity in a series of “terror crimes”. The arrests were made after a series of human and technical investigative techniques used by Police. As per police records, they had a history of “terror crime” records and were involved in planning and executing several “terror crimes” in J&K along with their associates. During the investigation, it was learnt that Junaid Shehrai commander of the proscribed outfit was part of this group which carried out these attacks. They were involved in the attack on SPO Romaan at Chanapora on 27/3/2019 in which he sustained injuries besides grenade throwing incidents in Jammu and Srinagar. Incriminating materials which include ammunition, live rounds were recovered from their possession. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law in this regard. Further investigation in the matter is going on.
